Please have ready
3% hydrogen peroxide, about 50ml. Liquids cannot be sent by post, so it is not in the box. Pick up a small bottle from a pharmacy or online before your Nook arrives. The guide shows how much to use.
How we check and send it
Tissue culture bags stay sealed until they reach you, so the plantlets keep their sterile start. We check every one through the bag, by its roots and growing point, and anything below standard never leaves the studio.
You get a photo of your plants before they are posted. If a plant declines within 7 days of dispatch, email us a photo and we will send a replacement with the next batch.
What is tissue culture?
Each plantlet is grown in a lab from a single cutting, so it starts clean, pest free and true to type. They arrive small and grow on with you, which is why rare plants cost less this way.
Every plant is a living thing, so the ones you receive will differ from the photos. Small marks or a dropped lab leaf are part of the process, not a fault.
