A heart-shaped leaf caught at the moment it starts to split.
Each side has opened a single fenestration, the first sign of the mature form. White is splashed and marbled across the green, and towards the tip the leaf softens into a cream patch.
This is the exact plant you will receive. Its number, MO-003-005, is printed on the label in the pot, and you can see it in the photos. It has been grown on here in our London studio.
A note on the white sections
The pale parts of a variegated leaf contain no chlorophyll. That tissue is thinner and more fragile than the green, holds water less well, and marks where green would not. On a leaf carrying this much white, a small brown edge or fleck in a cream patch is normal rather than a fault.
It can also appear in transit. A few days in a box or a change in humidity, and the white areas are the first to show it. This is cosmetic. A patch that has browned usually stays as it is, does not change how the plant grows, and new leaves come in fresh.
I pack every plant carefully and only send ones I would be happy to receive myself, but I would rather you knew this before buying.
