Description
Scindapsus Mayari & Peasun care essentials
- Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal for both varieties.
Mayari shows stronger silver tones under bright light, while Peasun’s mint patterns appear clearer. - Water: Water when the top 2–3 cm of the medium begins to dry.
Both prefer slightly moist conditions, but avoid overwatering as variegated Scindapsus can be sensitive to excess moisture. - Humidity: 60%+ is recommended for the best leaf texture and colour.
Higher humidity helps Mayari maintain its silver sheen and keeps Peasun’s soft variegation vivid. - Temperature: Ideal range is 18–27°C.
Protect from cold drafts and sudden temperature drops, as variegated leaves can be more delicate. - Soil: A well-draining aroid mix with perlite, bark, and moss works best.
Good aeration is especially helpful for Mayari’s thicker leaves and Peasun’s finer root development. - Notes on variation:
Mayari can show strong white, half-moon patterns, or mostly green depending on the cutting.
Peasun tends to stay consistent in colour and size. Variation is natural and part of their charm.
